After Kim Clijster and Justine Henin (tennis), now Tia  Hellebaut plans here comeback in sports (high jump).

Tia Hellebaut announces her comeback

The Olympic high jump champion and world indoor heptathlon champion has announced her comeback on her birthday at a press conference.  “We want to know whether she can jump over two meters again,” said Hellebaut partner and coach Wim Vandeven.

Hellebaut announced her retirement on August 23, 2008, shortly after recieving her Olympic high jump title, mainly because she was pregnant with her partner and coach Wim Vandeven. Mid-September, during the World Cup Final in Stuttgart, she completed her last jump.

On June 9 last year Tia gave birth to a daughter, Lotte. Now, eight months later, Hellebaut wants to be a part of the elite again. Let’s hope she performs  just as well as kim and justine.

Hellebaut explained briefly her ambition and planning. “I have no ambition in the heptathlon. Currently I have no concrete game plan. In April I’m leaving on internship and then we will see what games I will participate,” said the Olympic high jump champion iof 2008.
