New Orleans Saints win the Super Bowl – NFL 2010
February 8th, 2010

American football club, New Orleans Saints have won the NFL Super Bowl last Sunday night! They won the match located in Miami 31-17 against the Indianapolis Colts.
It’s the first time that New Orleans Saints win the prestigious prize. In their 43-year history they have never been in the final of the Super Bowl. Saints quarterback Drew Brees was named most valuable player.
Among the 74,000 spectators were many famous Americans like actors Tom Cruise, Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Rob Schneider and tennis greatness Serena Williams. As usual, the half-time act was graced by a performance by musicians, in this case the British rock band The Who.
The championship came 4 ½ years after Katrina ravaged New Orleans, making the Saints nomads for the 2005 season. There even was some doubt they would return, but the NFL refused to abandon the city. The Superdome was repaired and the Saints won the NFC South in ‘06.

Congrats to New Orleans i’d say!
