The first reviews of the Google Nexus One are excellent, but let’s be honest, the new android phone does not beat the iPhone.

Let us start with the advantages of the Google Nexus One:

- The processor in the device is is better than the processor of the iPhone (not much better, but better), it is the fast 1 Ghz processor Snap Dragon. This processor allows you to close any applications for the device to work faster. The iPhone uses a 600 Mhz processor.

- The device is (a little bit) thinner than the iPhone

- It has a somewhat larger screen.

- It has a 5MP camera, the iPhone has a 3MP camera.

- Although not yet working perfectly, the Nexus One uses voice commands for sending a SMS. The accuracy is about 90%. Simple messages can be send more quickly, because you don’t have to type it.

David Progue of the New York Times believes that the Nexus One is a worthy competitor to the Motorola Droid, but not for the iPhone. Let us explain why this smart man says this.

The advantages of the iPhone:

- Many users have some problems with the battery life of the iPhone. It is true that your battery needs recharging every 3 days. This is not always fun, but knowing that the Nexus One is even worse, it does not suit them. An example: Suppose you just want a use program or a play game, then you, even if your battery is fully charged, will have to recharge your Nexus One battery after 1.5 hours, because your battery is completely empty!

- The number of applications: The iPhone has more than 100,000 applications, The Nexus one has about less than 30,000 applications, conclusion, the iPhone is still the best application platform.

- The internal memory of the Nexus One is much lower than that of the iPhone. which concludes in the fact that far fewer applications can be installed onto the device. Ok, you will be able to use SD-cards, but it’s easier if your phone has enough memory when you buy it.

- Most importantly, and where the Nexus One can totally not match, is the software for music, photos and videos. The iPhone, in combination with the familiar iTunes software, is no match for any phone!

So… these are the advantages and disadvantages of the Nexus One. I find it quite a good phone, but really compare it with the iPhone, I don’t think so (yet). Google has 1 big advantage with, it’s using the Google Voice. This ensures that you can call free. One small problem for people who are reading this in Europe, you could not use it in Europe. Only users who live in America can use it… Another thing, Google Navigation can also only be used in America.

Everyone that follows the Belgian competition knows Belgium has 3 new upcoming talents. There are a lot of Belgian young guns that are breaking trough on a high level.

First of all we have Moussa Dembélé, the forward of AZ. Big, Athletic, great technic and everything you want in a striker, the only thing he has to work on is his scoring abilities. He doesn’t find the net often, but he is working on it.

The second one is Thomas Vermaelen, the defender of Arsenal. Scoring 5 goals in 8 appearances. Great defender with a forward driven mind.

The third one is Steven Dufour. Young playmaker that plays for Standard Liège, but not for long I think. There are a lot of teams that are willing to pay a lot for him, Arsenal, Real Madrid,… All big names…

The fourth one is Axel Witsel, also a playmaker and also playing for Standard Liège. He came in the news a while back for breaking the leg of Marcin Wasilewski. Axel is a great player, but he is trying to hard at the moment. So that’s probably why he isn’t playing that well lately. Still has a lot of potential.

But know I will tell you the players that are going to break through in a couple of years. I’m almost certain that you will see them play in a big league. So… Real Madrid,Chelsea, Barcelona, Manchester United, Lyon, Arsenal, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Juventus, AC Milan and all the other “BIG” teams, listen carefully what i’m about to say. Buy them NOW, you won’t regret it!!

Number 1, Número uno… ROMELU LUKAKU (born: 13 May 1993):

Only 16 years old, great attacking scorer. A very huge guy, brilliant, finds the net very easy. He’s fast, has a lot of technic. He is playing for RSCA Anderlecht at the moment, but i’m willing to bet, not for long…

Number 2, Número dos… Mats Rits (born: 18 July 1993):

Played his first game on 3 Oktober 2009 with GBA (Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen) against Westerlo scoring 2 goals. They won the match 3-1. He has a lot a technic and finds the net easely. Great player, with a lot of potential. Real Madrid already wanted to buy him at the age of 15, but he refused.

Number 3, número tres… Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez (born: 1 juli 1989):

With his 20 years, he is the oldest of the three talents, but he still has a lot of potential. You can compare him with Mbark Boussoufa of Anderlecht. He’s a very good playmaker, plays very intelligent and has a great technic. At this moment he is playing for Standard Liége.

These are the three major talents, you can even call them wonderkids, in Belgium.

1. Kim Clijsters

Kim is a Belgian professional tennis player. She is the daughter of former footballer Lei Clijsters and Els Vandecaetsbeek. She is a former number 1 player. After two years of injuries Kim decided that 2007 would be her last years as a professional tennis player. On May 6, 2007, after a tournament in Warsaw, where she again suffered from injuries, Clijsters announced on her website that she would immediately stop tennis.

On March 26, 2009 Clijsters announced her comeback on the WTA tournament in Cincinnati on August 10. Later on in 2009 she played the US Open as a wildcard entry. Clijsters won the US Open 2009 by beating Caroline Wozniacki in the final with 7-5 en 6-3.

2. Lance Armstrong

Armstrong is best known for his record victories in the Tour de France and as a world champion. Armstrong won the Tour de France seven times in a row, from 1999 to 2005. In 1996 he was prognosed with testicular cancer and the doctors gave him twenty to forty percent chance of survival. In 2005, after winning his last Tour de France, he said that this was the perfect moment for a retirement.

In september 2008 he announced he was planning a comeback. The main reason behind his comeback was to call attention to the problems of cancer and make his organisation, livestrong, well known around the world. The other reason was to prove that he is a non-doping cyclist.

In 2009 he gained the third place in the Tour the France and his career isn’t over yet…

3. Niki Lauda

Niki Lauda was one of the best F1-racers in the world. Lauda won his first world title in 1975 and seemed headed for his second in 1976 when he flew off the road in August 1 of that year at the German Grand Prix (the Nurburgring). He was threatened to burn alive when the wreck caught fire. His racing career seemed over, but to everyone’s amazement Lauda was back behind the wheel of his Ferrari a few weeks later and he missed the world title with just one point. 

He retired in 1977 (after winning the world title agan) to start his own airline. In 1982 he was lured back to the Formula 1 by McLaren, where in 1984 he won his third world championship. At the end of 1985 Lauda left Formula 1 forever.

4. Mario Lemieux

Mario was one of the greatest NHL players of all-time. Lemieux began his career in 1984 with the Pittsburgh Penguins, which was, at that moment, the worst club in the NHL. He helped the club to win the Stanley Cup both in 1991 and 1992. Over the years received numerous individual awards and Lemieux himself he grew into a legend in the sport.

In 1993 Lemieux beated cancer and he could continue his career, but in 1996 he was forced to retire because of severe back pain. Four years later (in 1997) he made his comeback. In his first game, he scored a goal and added three assists, then in 2006 he received cardiac arrhythmias and again at age 40 was forced to retire.

5. Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan is a famous NBA Basketball player. Almost his entire career he played for the Chicago Bulls (1984 – 1993 and 1995 – 1998). He retired in 1993 and started a new career: golf. That didn’t work out, so he came back to the NBA in 1995 with the words “I’m back”. In his fifth game he scored 55 points against the enemy of the 90s, the New York Knicks. In that year the Bulls lost their semifinal of the Eastern Conference 4-2 against Orlando Magic with players like Shaquille O’Neal and Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway.

In his first full season after his comeback Jordan became topscorer for the eight time, but something much more memorable was delivered by the Bulls. They where the first team in the history of the NBA (which officially exists since 1947) to win 70 games (they’ve won 72 games)

SEO (Search engine optimalitation) is the process to get a higher ranking in search engines. This post will you provide with all the thinks you have to do to get a higher ranking in search engines like Google, Bing, Altavista, Yahoo and all the other search engines.

Quality content:

The first thing you will have to do, is create a website that provides quality and UNIQUE content. Do NOT copy paste your content from other websites. Many search engines will see that you have duplicated content and will not give you a higher ranking in their search engine. For example: if you have a website about soccer, try to write something unique about that. There are a lot of websites that are about soccer. Try to use keywords that no other websites use. You can use this keyword tool generator to get unique keywords for your content.

The second thing you will have to do is when you create your website, try to have a easy to use website. You have to think like a search engine. If you have a lot of content and a lot of buttons, make sure everybody can find everything on your website very fast.

Use keywords and keyword phrases appropriately in text links, if you use images, provide these images with an ALT tag. For example, if you have a image about your dog. Set the alt tag to: “picture of my dog, foofer”.

Never use text like “Click here”. Use keyword buttons, like this is my dog, my dog being the button. Make sure that you DO NOT do the following: click here for pictures of my dog. Click here being the button.

Do NOT use FRAMES, use DIV-blocks and CSS to give your website to look that you want.

Try to create fresh content at least once every week. If your site does not change often, your site is needing a BLOG, something like this here. My website www.linxiting.com does not change often, that was the main reason to create another part of my website blog.linxiting.com (the website you are on right now). What I do is the following. I post blogposts about things that intrest me, this is a great way to create fresh content. The more fresh unique content, the more search engines will love you. You have to keep just 1 thing in mind: make sure you post once a week. Do not post everything at ones and then don’t post anything for 3 weeks. Be consistent in your blog-posts.

For your blogposts, these are the import things you need to keep in mind. Your title is very important. This is what everybody will see in the search engine. The description is also very important, this is what will below your title in the search engines. As I already said, if you use images, the alt tags are very important, especially for google images, yahoo images, …

Use H1, H2,… tags, these are also important, but not as important as your title-tag

Linkbuilding

This is probably the hardest, but best thing to do to have your site indexed high in every search engine! If many site’s are linking to your website. Search engines will know you are important. Why is it so hard. 99% of every website on the internet will not link to your website for free. You will have to be patient for that. If you are not patient, this is what you can do. Search google for websites like yours, write there email-adresses on a piece of paper. Send every website a nice mail. Maybe something like this will work: “please place a link on your website of my website, I will also place a link of your website on mine”. I’m not sure this will work, but you can try it…

The other thing you can do is create an article and submit it to various websites or to websites like articlebase, ezinearticles, svwsticker,… This will make your article be seen many times and it will be higher in search egines because these website score significantly good in search engines, but be aware, this will create duplicated content and as I said in the beginning of this article, search engines don’t like that!

Link to your own blogposts, but CAUTION: if you have a lot of links on your website, make sure they all work! Another thing you have to keep in mind, don’t over do this! DO NOT link to every page on your website.

Other things you can do:

 Use RSS-feeds, make sure people can subscribe, this will make your visitors come back if they read something interesting.

Offline marketing is also a great way to promote your website… Try to great something with your logo and URL on. For example, on a ball pen, on a t-shirt,…

Make you and your website popular by commenting on other websites. This will make you become known around the web.

Other thinks everyone knows already:

Use meta-tags
Make sure you have valid HTML
Static is always better than Dynamic (for example, DO NOT create your whole website in FLASH)
Make sure people find your website, with or without the www (for example, if you type linxiting.com or www.linxiting.com you will allways come on my website)
Submit your website to search engines

How is it possible that a company like Apple can not cope with demand of its customers.  For example, the iPhone 3GS is not available in belgium at the moment. It has already come so far that, at the moment, you no longer can be put on a waiting list. The latest rumors are: approximately 3 million people are on a waiting list for his or her iPhone 3GS.

Ok, I can believe that there is an enormous demand for a device that looks so elegant and very easy to use, but a company like Apple should know what the demand would be for a device like the iPhone 3GS, especially when you already made the iPhone and iPhone 3G.

If you are someone who has no patience, you will still need to have a little patience. In the worst case you just wait until October 6. Then Microsoft comes with a range of smartphones (in cooperation with approximately twenty other telecom operators (like HTC, Acer, LG, Samsung, HP, Sony-Ericsson and Toshiba) and manufacturers), the new mobile phones will be the first with the new Windows Mobile 6.5. According to Microsoft the new smartphones will have an enhanced user interface, easier to use and more efficient navigation functionality. So either you have patience and wait until Apple finally makes work of producing more iPhones and thus keep up with the demand of its customers or you either wait until 6 october and go buy your own Microsoft smartphone, a company like Microsoft will probably exceed the demand of the customer requirements.
