Christiano Ronaldo

Christiano Ronaldo said he’s planning to quit Manchester United and going to Real Madrid this summer. Real offered Man U € 94.000.000 (a record!!) for Ronaldo. Man U accepted the offer on 11/07/2009.

My question is why? Okay, sure, he’s going to get more money there, but can anyone tell me the latest player who went to Real Madrid had a major breakthrough (besides Ruud Van Nisterooy and Huntelaar)? Look at Arjen Robben, Robinho, Drenthe, Saviola, Cannavaro,… (see one of my latest posts (who has to go)).

I know, C. Ronaldo is a great player and normally he will make it over there. But Man U is a great team, better than Real at the moment I think. After 3 titles and 2 Champions League finals he feels that he achieved what he wanted. I don’t understand, why leave a team that has 2 Champions League finals in the last 2 years!!! I wish him the best and hope he will have a great time over there with other new players like Kaká, David Villa and many more…

If you agree or don’t agree you can leave a comment.

Exactly. You’re right. And if Real keep on buying new stars. Like Villa, Ronaldo, Kaka,… they will have the best team in the world and it will be hard to beat them. I think they are going to take the treble with all the talent on the squad.
