Liverpool bought Jovanovic from Standard

His manager confirmed today: Milan Jovanovic leaves Standard Liege after this season. The 28-year-old Serbian international has signed an agreement for three years with the premier league team Liverpool FC. Liverpool don’t have to pay a transfer fee because Jova is out of contract in June.
The British media already told it last week and spread the news of the transaction widely, but nothing was official yet. Jovanovic has now faxed a signed agreement to “The Reds”. It is a deal for three seasons, the attacker will earn approximately 11.5 million euros. Negotiations about a fourth season are still running.
In January Jovanovic won the Golden Shoe (best player of Belgium). It wasn’t a secret that Jovanovic, the striker Standard would leave Standard at the end of the season. He won two titles and it was mostly because of him they won those two titles. He was great the last two seasons.
Jovanovic played four years for Standard Liege. Previously he defended the colors of Vojvodina Novi Sad (2000 – January 2003), Shakhtar Donetsk (January 2003-2005) and Lokomotiv Moscow (2005). In Belgium he was also named Pro Football Player of the Year in 2008.
