At the end of every year, you have a list with the best things of that year. What are the best games i’ve played this year? What are the funniest things i’ve seen this year? What are the worst things that happend this year? Well i’m going to give you my top 20 movies of the year 2009. You can comment below if you don’t agree, but keep in mind that I did not see all the movies that were released in 2009. Here we go…
20. X-Men Origins: Wolverine

The latest X-Men movie is a prequel to all the X-Men movies.Great action movie with Hugh Jackman as the title character.This one of the X-Men series focuses on the violent past of the mutant Wolverine and his relationship with his half-brother Victor Creed.If you love the X-men series, you will love this movie. |
19. 2012

2012 is a disaster movie based on the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar of the Mayas and the 2012 phenomenon were they say the earth will destroyed.The film recieved mixed and negative reviews, but if you like special effects and don’t need a believable storyline you will like this.Try to view it on a big screen, you will like it. |
18. 17 Again

A comedy with Zac Efron in the leading roll about a guy (played by Matthew Perry) who wants to be 17 again because he thinks he made a mistake in the past.His wish comes true and there is when the movie starts. He applies to his old high school and tries to do everything over again.Nice movie with a lot of laughs and something to watch with your boy- or girlfriend. |
17. Funny People

A comedy/drama film starring Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen as stand-up comedians.The one more succesfull then the other.George Simmons (Sandler) hears that he has not long to life and decides to hire Ira Wright (Rogen) as his assistent. Ira takes the job because he things he can learn a lot from George.Great comedy with some drama. Loved to watch it and so will you. |
16. He’s Just Not That Into You

A romantic comedy with a lot of great actors. The cast includes Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barymore, Scarlett Johansson and many more.A summary of this movie would be: girl getting dating advice from a boy, because in each relationship one person is more enamored of the other person and vice versa.Lovely movie and maybe you will learn something watching it… |
15. Twilight 2 – New Moon

If your in to movies with vampire, but with a great story line and no or almost no blood.It’s a vampire movie on another level. New moon is a great sequel of the first Twilight movie.The story tells the love between a mortal and a vampire with a lot of mysteries of the supernatural world she yearns to become part of.Nice action/romantic/adventure movie your girlfriend (if you are a boy) will love. |
14. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

The sixth movie of the Harry Potter series (based on the novels by J.K. Rowling) with again Daniel Radcliffe in the leading roll is an adventure movie with a lot of special effects.You will probably need to see the previous Harry Potter movies to understand this one.It mostly about the same thing: Harry with his magical powers trying to get rid of Lord Voldemort and his “new” assistent Draco Malfoy.Magical movie if you’re in to witchcraft with a great storyline! |
13. Public Enemies

A crime movie set during the Great Depression that tells the true story of FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) agent Melvin Purvis (played by Christian Bale)’s attempt to stop criminals John Dillinger (Johnny Depp), Baby Face Nelson (Stephen Graham) and Pretty Boy Floyd (Channing Tatum).Best crime movie of the year with a lot of great actors and acting-jobs. |
12. Angels & Demons

Based on the novel of Dan Brown this is the sequel of The Da Vinci Code.The Vatican summons symbologist Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) from Harvard University and Vittoria Vetra (Ayelet Zurer) from CERN to help them solve the Illuminati’s threat, save the four preferiti, and replace the vial’s batteries. Langdon listens to the Illuminati message and deduces that the four cardinals will die at the four altars of the “Path of Illumination.” However, no one knows where these altars are located.Not as good as the first movie, but still very intertaning. |

Thriller directed by Tony Scott and with Denzel Washington and John Travolta playing the leading rolls.Its a remake of the original film (1974).Four heavenly armed men, led by the mysterious Ryder (John Travolta), board the New York City subway 6 train departed from Pelham Bay Park Station at 1:23 p.m., and proceed to take control of it. Walter Garber (Denzel) is the one setting at the Rail Control Center desk when they contact him and ask for a ransom.Great action movie with a powerfull cast and fantastic storyline. |

9. Inglourious Basterds

Directed by Quentin Tarantino starring Brad Pitt, I think i’ve said it all…The film tells the story of two plots to assassinate the Nazi political leadership, one planned by a young French Jewish cinema proprietress, the other by a team of American soldiers called the “Basterds” with Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) as there lieutenant.Great storyline. It’s a war movie, so if you have a weak stomach, don’t watch it… |

| 3D science fiction film starring Sam Worthington and Zoë Saldaña.The film begins in the year 2154 and focuses on an epic conflict on Pandora, an inhabited Earth-sized moon of Polyphemus, one of the three fictional gas giants orbiting Alpha Centauri A (the names Pandora and Polyphemus are taken from two Greek mythological figures). On Pandora, human colonists and the sapient humanoid indigenous inhabitants of Pandora, the Na’vi, engage in a war over the planet and the latter’s continued existence.Nice 3D movie with a lot of special effects and a great storyline. |

Keep in mind, its not a cartoon, it’s a movie. Try it, you won’t regret! |

Another computer animated movie, with a great storyline.The film centers around a grumpy old man named Carl Fredricksen and an overeager wilderness explorer named Russell who fly to South America in a floating house suspended from helium balloons.The best animated of this year!Loved every second of the movie because it has drama, fun, adventure and everything a movie needs… |
3. Watchmen

Superhero movie starring Malin Akerman, Billy Crudup, Matthew Goode and many more.The film is set in an alternate-history 1985 at the height of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union, as a group of mostly retired vigilantes investigates an apparent conspiracy against them and uncovers something even more grandiose and sinister.You probably can compare it with X-men, but it’s better. Liked it very much. |
2. Brüno

You will not stop laughing watching this one! |

Great screwball comedy starring Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, and Heather Graham.Four friends who travel to Las Vegas for a bachelor party, wake up the next morning not remembering a thing and missing the groom “Doug” (Justin Bartha), whose wedding is scheduled to occur the next day.For me, this was the best comedy of this year! It’s freakin hilarious. You have to watch it if you didn’t already. |

Terminator 2 was by far the best movie ever. Later Terminator movies have just not been able to live up to our expectations.

Dan Brown is quite amazing in the way he creates his stories. The depth of research he clearly undertakes makes for a very realistic read!
