Last weekend we saw a lot great soccer matches. Let’s give you a summary of the biggest competitions (England, Spain, Italy and Belgium and Holland). The biggest blow of this weekend was the injury of David Beckham!
England major soccer moments:
Rooney is in top form for Manchester United, scoring twice in de match against Fulham. Rooney already has scored 32 goals this year, he’s trying to beat Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of 43 goals in a season. Arsenal also won their match against Hull with 1-2, Bendtner was their saviour scoring the 1-2 in the last minute of the game. Chelsea won against West Ham (4-1). Drogba scored 2 times.
Spain major soccer moments:
Barca won their match between Valencia with 3-0 and who do you think was the best on the pitch? Of course… Lionel Messi! Messi scored 3 times and almost beat Valencia on his own. Luckely, for the tension of the competition, Real also won their match in Valladolid with 1-4, Higuaín was the man of the match scoring 3 goals. The other goal was from C-Ron. Italy major soccer moments:
Juventus give a 3-0 lead away ending the game against Siena 3-3. Inter lost again this week, this time in Catania (3-1). AC Milan won their match against Chievo 1-0, with a goal in the last minute from Clarence Seedorf, the biggest moment of that game was the exit of David Beckham, he had a major injury (a torn achilles). He is going to miss the WK in South Africa. He already had his operation today and it went well and the career of the 34-year-old midfielder would not be in danger, let’s hope so!!
Belgium and Holland major soccer moments:
Lukaku scored again for RSC Anderlecht in their match against Racing Genk (2-0) and are still top of the league. Club Brugge won against Roeselare 1-0, with a goal from Kouemaha in the 84th minute. Standard played against Zulte Waregem and it was a draw (1-1), therefore they still have a small chance to be in the top 6 (place for playoff 1). Meanwhile, Lierse and Antwerp are named in a soccer betting scandal.
In Holland Ajax won the topper against PSV (4-1), Ajax topscorer Suarez scored the last goal. Feyenoord played a draw against Heracles 1-1. AZ won 6-2 against RKC, El Hamdaoui scored 3 times, Dembele 1 time. Twente won 3-1 against ADO Den Haag and is still in the running for winning the Holland first division. Roda JC won 0-2 aganst NEC, the biggest moment of the game was the red card for Anouar Hadouir, he got a 4 weeks suspension for an ugly tackle on NEC defender Niels Wellenberg, watch it here below:
