The hand of Thierry Henry, the new hand of God

France are going to the World Cup in South Africa, with special thanks to Thierry Henry and the ref Martin Hansson. Ireland were leading 0-1 in the second leg of extra time (they’ve lost the first match 0-1) by a goal from Robbie Keane. This was the perfect result for going to penalty kicks, but than came the 103 minute.

A cross from just beyond midfield went to Thierry Henry. He controlled the the ball with his hand and then a gave cross to William Gallas, who just had to head the ball into the net. Therefore the French are going to the World Cup in South Africa in 2010. Henry already admit he controlled the ball with his hand, but was glad his country are going to the World Cup
