Microsoft launched Windows7 today, barely three years after the release of Windows Vista. That system had to be a succes, but it was NOT, it was very poorly received by consumers and businesses. Windows7 has/had to make it all better. Well, it did… Don’t think you will see a lot of change, but if you look closer you will feel the difference.
Windows 7 is way FASTER than the poor Windows Vista:
Menus open immediately, lightning fast file copy and the typical “what-is-my-computer-doing-right-now-feeling” is gone. Your computer starts faster. Microsoft says it will take less than 15 seconds, but don’t believe that. It takes a little bit longer. But still… it starts faster!
Windows 7 is more BEAUTIFUL than Windows Vista:
The Aero-effect widows uses has a few nice tricks: Peek, Snap and Shake. Peek makes all windows transparent when you move the mouse cursor to the lower right corner of the screen. Snap devides the window screen in exactly 2 parts/halfs, so on one half of the screen you can watch a movie and on the other half you can work :p. It’s also useful if you want to compare two documents in Word. Shake is the last one. If you shake with a window, all your other windows will disappear. The Start menu is improved, it provides a search box that gives you really useful results quickly.
Another thing that’s very useful are the libraries. You don’t have to put all your images together in one map anymore. Because of the libraries, you will be able to look at all your images in the image-folder. The same thing for movies and other stuff.
So… Conclusion:
